Massimo, la maggior parte del colore è sparita dal deserto in questo periodo dell'anno, ma poi questo fiore arriva con la pioggia.

Thank you Roberto. it is like an orchid but the plant only lives 3 or 4 month during the rainy season then it dies leaving a hard claw to catch on to a large animal who carries it to a new place to grow. It grows in the washes and ravines where the water flows when it rains.
