If I do as you said, the picture was not vertical ,it was horizontal , and so was ,the little details were lost (chain  and looking blonde  ) . My opinion!

fantastic double portrait. good B / W. I think you were a bit close to right. I would try to rule out even a high-cut legs. just my idea. excellent
