She is cut off on purpose. It's a radical balance, but the emphasis was on the man writing on the stairs. The intention was her to film the frame and be somewhat anonymous. Likely too dramatic of an approach. But, I assure you, this was full viewfinder on a slow exposure.

However, if I wanted to write a story about a man writing a letter to a woman, and needed an illustration for it, I envisioned this. When the composition manifested itself, my thought was only to do it, but differently. Make a mistake--have her blurred, cut recognizable attributes. Leave her a ghostly figure that perhaps only the writer can recognize, but with the imagination, allow the opportunity for the story to be told, with imagination.

As always, I will try it again and do it better, taking these critiques into account.
